Cashew Crema
Ingredients:
1 cup of raw cashews
Juice of one lime or lemon
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 to 1 cup of water
Directions:
Soak the cashews overnight.
Drain and rinse the cashews. Put them in a blender and add the lime/lemon juice, salt and pepper. Start by adding 1/4 cup of water and blend. Keep adding water and blending until it’s smooth and has the consistency you prefer.
3. Store it in a tight sealed container and refrigerate.
You can use this crema as the base for a ton of flavors (sweet, savory, etc).
