Cashew Crema

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of raw cashews

  • Juice of one lime or lemon

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/4 to 1 cup of water

Directions:

  • Soak the cashews overnight.

  • Drain and rinse the cashews. Put them in a blender and add the lime/lemon juice, salt and pepper. Start by adding 1/4 cup of water and blend. Keep adding water and blending until it’s smooth and has the consistency you prefer. 

3. Store it in a tight sealed container and refrigerate. 

You can use this crema as the base for a ton of flavors (sweet, savory, etc).
